Second and third betas

My RI’s office called this morning with my hCG results, and the news is good!

First beta: 15 (12 DPO)

Second beta: 48– Doubling time: 25 hours (14 DPO)

Third beta: 203– Doubling time: 22.1 hours (16 DPO)

Ideally, hCG should double in early pregnancy approximately every 48-72 hours. Though mine started about as low as it could, it’s rapidly moved to the head of the class. The numbers are now within range for my stage of pregnancy.

My brown spotting was heavier yesterday, especially after I went for my blood draw, but spending the rest of the day prone slowed it considerably. It definitely seems to respond to lower activity levels. My RI’s office told me to stop the Lovenox for two days if it ever turns to bright red blood.

Next up: IVIg infusion at 8am on Monday, and my OB wants me to come in for an early ultrasound on Monday or Tuesday, to see if we can detect something that could cause the spotting. I will also repeat hCG on Monday.

Sweet baby ray of sunshine, I am so ready for your light!

Whoohoo – Great news! Let us know what happens at the scan – it’ll be interesting to hear. We found a fibroid that was causing bleeding during my 1st pg, but it disappeared on its own. Otherwise, no known reason for the bleeding during the others.

I wanted to thank you for cheering me on! It is nice to know you are out there, even when at times this part is scary.
