About

Writing helps strengthen my grasp on sanity through this journey of motherhood, marriage, and working in the high-tech industry. This blog might include frequent rants, grateful sentimentality, and discussions of all things human.

I have an overdeveloped belief in my own competency that probably drives my husband crazy. I am a writer, quilter, photographer, avid reader, gardener, and a damn good cook. My kids have food allergies to wheat/gluten, egg (fingers crossed!) and dairy, and one is a spirited child. Thank goodness I love to be in the kitchen!

I am very spiritual but do not subscribe to any one overarching belief system. I love to optimize things, and see patterns and life lessons all around us, often with a little help from my friends. I can do most things mechanical and have an obsessive love/hate relationship with home do-it yourself projects. This becomes especially masochistic with no family living nearby to help with the kids.

Since surviving secondary infertility, recurrent miscarriage, the death of my father, and an unexpected layoff, I am grateful life seems to be on the upswing– let’s do what we can to keep it that way, shall we?
